Bachelor of Arts in Translation – Studying Applied Linguistics

The focus of the Bachelor degree programme in Translation is practical work with languages. This programme thus provides graduates with key skills for a wide range of careers for which linguistic competence, as well international and intercultural knowledge, are important. The curriculum will prepare you for a challenging employment market, teaching you to communicate professionally and effectively in several languages, both orally and in writing, and to transfer ideas between different languages, cultures and disciplines.

The Bachelor of Arts in Translation, with specialisations in Multilingual Communication, Multimodal Communication or Technical Communication, is offered by the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (IUED) at the School of Applied Linguistics.
